ROLE IN PROJECT MILE
AFOL-Metropolitana is one of technical partners of Project MILE. It contributes to the implementation of the project in Italy, according to their key technical experiences and skills. AFOL ensures engagement of companies, and is in charge of the selection of employers and their matching with migrants; performing skills assessment and soft skills development; delivering technical training; fostering access and integration into work. But also, it helps in the coordination of working tables with employers and their associations, provision of services for employment and guidance; but also, implements work experiences, post placement support and skills validation.
Who we are?
AFOL is a special consortium currently owned by the capitol city of Milan and the 67 Municipalities of the greater metropolitan area. Established through the gradual consolidation of all the territorial offices, the Agency guarantees the citizens and businesses of the Milan area a single public interlocutor on work and training issues. AFOL Metropolitana provides services for:
- preventing and combating unemployment
- improving the quality of employment
- fostering development of human capital
- supporting local development
The entire range of services in the field of professional training, guidance and work that AFOL Metropolitana offers, are built on the needs of citizens and local businesses.
Training, guidance and job services, represent only few of the Agency’s greatest strengths and guarantee its effectiveness in implementing and achieving specific objectives.
AFOL Metropolitana is accredited by the Lombardy Region for work and training services.
